Happy Halloween!

Yesterday was Halloween! What a day! The kids dressed in their costumes for the morning, and we strolled down Fillmore Street showing all the locals their costumes. On the way home we managed to gatecrash a local party, with a host of kids and adults in costume (the best one was the newborn baby and his dad who dressed as a chef with lobster in a pot! Very funny and cute!). In the late afternoon we went down one of the other local streets, which holds an annual Halloween walk for the kids and then spent the evening with some of our good friends. It was a great night as the kids got to play with their friends and then go trick or treating together. We ended up trick or treating in the Pac Heights area, where some of the houses (read 'mansions'...) had gone all out for the night. The kids had a great time! Oh, and I forgot to mention the whole family got dressed up too...I'll let you guess the theme...

HMB Pumpkin Patch

So after all the dramas of Saturday we still decided to get out on Sunday to our favourite Pumpkin Patches at Half Moon Bay. Z and A had a great time on the rides. It was the first time A had been on a jumping castle - and she loved it. Z was bugging us all day to go into the Haunted House, so we got tickets. They have two showings - one with the lights off, and one with the lights on (for the younger kids). So we waited and waited for our turn to go in with the lights on, then when we went to go in, Z got spooked and wouldn't even take one step into the building...so that was that...and we settled for a ride on the train instead! Maybe we'll do the Haunted House next year...
