Best Friends

A is now able to pull herself up and stand on her own. She's really getting about and is into everything. Z is really advanced with his reading - we thought it was just normal, but apparently not. He's reading at at least grade 2 level already (according to the doctor). He's also been really into his colouring over the last few weeks. Needless to say, A thinks that everything Z does is really cool, so is trying to do it too.

Sunday evening BBQ

This past Sunday we were invited to a BBQ as some of our good friends are moving to NYC this coming week. We all had a lovely evening, good food, good weather and good company. Z had a blast with the girls and A took it all in her stride - as she always does. Thanks B,C and C for inviting us, we had a fabulous time! L, P and S we hope the rest of your move goes smoothly and you enjoy your new home in NYC - we'll miss you guys!

School Picnic

Yesterday was Z and A's annual school picnic. It was held at a local park not far from home and they had a pretty good turn out. We were really lucky as the rain held off and it turned out to be a really nice day. There was bubble blowing, cupcake decorating, and one of Z's little friends K shared her talent for arm painting and drew some fantastic spiders, sharks and snakes on Z's arm - he loved it. They had a bunch of colourful balloons, but somehow they got loose and flew away...reminiscent of the movie 'UP' which Z and I saw last weekend in 3D - it's a great movie, we highly recommended it! Oh, and A's also blowing lots of raspberries right now - that's what's going on in the photo below....
